Scripture Reading: Matthew 10:11-12 (KJV)
“And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it.”
Reflections: When Jesus sent out His disciples, He instructed them to rely on the hospitality of those who welcomed them. This underscores a key principle: God provides resources not just for personal use but to support His work and workers. The phrase “enquire who in it is worthy” emphasizes discernment in finding those who share God’s vision. Such individuals partner with God by offering shelter, food, or other aid. Supporting mission work is an act of stewardship and obedience, recognizing that all we have belongs to God and should be used for His glory. By helping those on mission, we advance the gospel and partake in God’s redemptive plan.
Prayer: Lord, lead me to practice hospitality and partner in Your work with a joyful heart.
Confession: As led by the Spirit I practice hospitality and partner in God’s work with a joyful heart.
