Scripture Reading: John 16:31-32 (KJV) mnctototogel
“Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.”
Reflections: Loneliness is a deep and painful reality that many experience at different points in life. Even Jesus, in His final moments before the cross, faced abandonment. His disciples, who had followed Him closely, scattered, leaving Him seemingly alone. Yet, Jesus made a profound declaration—though human companionship failed Him, He was not alone because the Father was with Him. This truth is a great comfort to us as believers. There may be seasons when we feel forsaken by friends, family, or even the world, but God’s presence remains constant. Instead of dwelling on who is absent, focus on the One who is always present. Like Jesus, we can find strength in the Father’s companionship, knowing that we are never truly alone.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing presence in my life.
Confession: I am never alone, for God is always with me. His presence surrounds me, and His love sustains me.
