Scripture Reading: John 11: 1,3 & 6- Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
Reflection: Jesus is shown here as a friend of Lazarus. Jesus delays 2 more days in his response for the desperate call to bring healing to Lazarus. Lazarus dies in the process. What a shock! ‘What kind of friend is Jesus’, I can hear people say! However at the end of events, Jesus establishes himself as the BEST friend, who responds at the BEST time with the BEST results. He resurrects Lazarus who had been dead for 4 days. Lazarus obviously became an important and sought after personality in town. The BEST is about to happen to you! Hold on to your friendship in Christ Jesus! He is still the BEST friend ever!
