Scripture Reading: Hebrews 10:36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Reflections:Everyone desirous of doing the will of God must of necessity have and allow patience to operate in their lives. Patience speaks of endurance. It is about enduring an adverse condition whiles waiting for the desirous to happen. James admonishes us to learn from the patience of Job (James 5:11). In spite of his afflictions, Job held on and did not give up his faith until God visited him. Patience will make you endure hardships no matter what without moving you, to do something outside God’s will. It’s Greek rendition ‘Hupomone’ says it all. It means to ‘remain under’. Patience makes you ‘remain under’ God’s will in spite of sufferings/afflictions. It will keep you moving until you see the glory of God! Ask God for patience in life. You will definitely need it!

Prayer: Oh Lord, let the virtue of patience reign in my life as a child of God!

Confession: I am patient in life. I hold on until I see His glory!
