Scripture Reading: Mat 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
Reflections: Mary is given a spotlight in the Bible as a choice vessel through whose womb the savior was born. Quite a number of factors may have gained her this recognition. Based on the biblical information provided, it is noted among others she was engaged to Joseph, a ‘just man’. This information is critical. The Hebrew word translated ‘just’ is ‘dikaios’ which simply means a righteous person who keeps the commands of God. Mary associated herself with a practicing righteous man. Your association with the right people in life definitely has a role in determining the course of your destiny. Learn to be like Mary and associate yourself with people who hunger and thirst after righteousness. One day it will be your turn to be favored divinely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me associate with practicing righteous and right people who will help carve the path my destiny.
Confession: I just don’t associate with people. I make sure I move with people who live with the consciousness of righteousness.
