Wednesday, 9th May 2018:Don’t hold back what you have to give out!

Scripture Reading: John 6:9-11
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

Reflections: Jesus knew He had to feed the people. He asked his disciples to look for food for everyone. This seemed to be an impossible task. The only food they found was a lunch pack of 5 loaves and two small fishes which belonged to a little boy. They wondered how this could feed everybody. Interestingly this was all Jesus was looking for. He took it, blessed it and asked the disciples to share it among the people gathered. Everybody was served but shockingly the lunch pack never run out. In the end, 12 baskets of food crumbs were collected. A miracle of feeding 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fishes took place. It all happened because a little boy was willing to give out his lunch pack. He had refused to be selfish. Just like that little boy, don’t hold back what you have to give out! A miracle will be birth out of it.

Prayer: Oh Lord, let me not hold back what I have to give out. Let me see your glory as I give out to meet the needs of others.

Confession: I am an instrument of blessing to lives in the kingdom. I don’t hold back what I am expected to give out. I will always encounter the miraculous.
