Scripture Reading: Numbers 23:23
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

Reflection: Balaam was noted for his supernatural powers in the land of Moab. He was therefore hired by the King of Moab to place a curse on Israel. He however fails miserably in this task. Indeed his attempt at cursing Israel through divination and enchantment did not only fail to yield results but led to the collapse of his entire spiritual consultative business. He concludes that unlike others, neither divination nor enchantment could work against Israel. Divination is the use of occultic powers to know something about your life ( past, present, future) while enchantment is the use of the same power to limit or afflict you in life. Balaam could not touch Israel with these satanic practices. What made the difference for Israel was their relationship with God. They were in covenant with God! As a covenant child of God, no one can mess you up in life. Like Balaam, Diviners and enchanters will regret if they ever touch your life. Divination and enchantment is powerless against you! Just keep walking in your covenant relationship with God!
