Wednesday, 6th December 2017: God will take your enemies by surprise!

Scripture Reading: 2 Chronicles 20:22
And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

Reflection: The Moabites, Ammonites, and the people of Mount Seir decided to engage King Jehoshaphat in battle. This terrified Jehoshaphat. He therefore approached God in prayer and asked for Divine Help. After God assured him of victory, he proceeded to march his people into battle. His army had a component of singers. They sang praises as they marched in front of the army. This looked weird but what followed was such a wonder. God suddenly AMBUSHED the enemy allied forces. This brought confusion between them. They began to fight against each other and killed themselves. Jehoshaphat and his people looked on in utter amazement. The battle was suddenly over without Jehoshaphat ever needing to fight. Divine ambushment had worked out a miracle for him. To ambush is a military tactic where you make a surprise attack on someone from a concealed position. Your enemies may think they have all they need to overpower and humiliate you but God will take them by surprise. He will ambush them! Ask Him to do so and keep praising Him. Divine Help will be on the way!

Prayer: Oh Lord, ambush my enemies!

Confession: My enemies will be ambushed by God. I will keep praising God!
