Scripture Reading: Zec 12:3
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Reflections: The Prophet Zechariah speaks of a coming day when God will position Israel as a burdensome stone in the hands of her enemies. A burden is a heavy load. It signifies hardship, brutalities and worries. A burdensome stone is, therefore, a sudden unbearable and irresistible oppressive attack. God will suddenly cause Israel’s allied enemies to face such levels of severe and compelling brutalities that they will run away in defeat and shame while leaving Israel alone. Thus no matter how strong Israel’s enemies may be, they were going to be so “burdened” by Israel ( stone) that they would regret ever coming against it. One way to encounter freedom from satanic-inspired oppositions is to be made a burdensome stone in their hands by God. At that point, you may not do anything directly yourself, but the unseen hand of God will move into operation. Your enemies will regret ever touching your life!
Prayer: Oh God, make me a burdensome stone in the hands of my enemies.
Confession: I have become a burdensome stone to my enemies. They can no longer handle me. I am free.
