Scripture Reading: Matthew 16:17
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Reflections: Jesus points us to two significant sources of information in life: ‘flesh and blood’ and ‘heavenly father’. While ‘flesh and blood’ refers to man (information sourced from people), ‘heavenly father’ refers to God (information secured from the supernatural). Through Peter’s encounter with Jesus, we understand that while one’s life is physical and therefore accessible to information at that level, there is information beyond that realm that one needs to access to effectively handle life’s issues. Like Peter, you can have access to critical supernatural information. Ask God to reveal any such information that has eluded you!
Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me access to information in the supernatural.
Confession: I am enabled by God to access divine information.
