Scripture Reading: Joshua 8:26
Joshua 8:26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of A
Reflections: In his conquest of AI, Joshua followed God’s ambush strategy. As part of the strategy, he pointed his spear at the city (Joshua 8:18). By this prophetic action, his men were driven into action, backed by divine power. They began to overpower the men of Ai. Although, God did not tell Joshua how long he should hold out the spear, he kept to that position until his men had completely brought down the city of Ai. This means he refused to be distracted and did not give in to tiredness or complacency. The lack of focus, excuse of tiredness or complacency can ruin your chances of having a divinely appointed winning life, especially in spiritual battles. You’ll conquer life’s battles like Joshua with tenacity and heavenly support!
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me approach every task with focus and determination.
Confession: Backed by divine authority, I approach every task with focus and determination.
