Scripture Reading: Psalm 122:1,4-5
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Reflections: Nothing could ever stop David from being part of congregational worship. Certainly he knew why. In this Psalm, he cites the operations of THRONES OF JUDGMENT as one of the reasons. A throne represents authority while Judgment refers to the ruling of a verdict. In this case it is verdict to favor and not to condemn. Thrones of judgment in this context therefore represent different rulings of verdicts from the superior authority to favor His people. Thus anytime we congregate to worship the King of Kings, He rises with superior authority to give rulings in favor of our lives from his judgment seat. Thrones of judgment truly awaits you at every church service. Keep going to church no matter what!
Prayer: Oh God, let your thrones of judgment speak on my behalf!
Confession: Thrones of divine judgement speak on my behalf. I walk in favor each day of my life.
