Wednesday, 3rd May 2023: Never allow your confidence to be confined!

Scripture Reading:Act 28:31
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Reflections: Paul was held under house arrest in Rome for two years. Despite this, he turned his residence into a place of worship where he confidently instructed the congregation. Confidence is “the quality of being certain of one’s ability to perform tasks competently.” You may be intelligent, talented, endowed, or skilled, but lack confidence in your ability to utilize these to complete assigned tasks. Therefore, one’s confidence plays a crucial role in determining how successful they can be in pursuing their goals in life. Paul was held captive, but his confidence could not be held confined. Consequently, he accomplished so much for the kingdom. Never allow your confidence to be confined. Rise to the occasion with confidence in your own gifts, talents, skills, and abilities, and employ them to fulfill your purpose on earth.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to be confident in life.

Confession: I am confident in life.
