Wednesday, 3rd March 2021: Yield to the voice of your faith!

Scripture Reading: Matthew 9:20-21. And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole

Reflections: She had been wearied of her sick condition for 12 years. She knew the moment of her healing had come when she heard Jesus was passing through her vicinity. Looking at the large crowd that thronged Jesus, she knew it was quite an impossible task to attract his attention. However as she considered the matter, she convincingly instructed herself to make her way through till she was able to touch just the hem of his garment. Obeying this self instruction, despite the odds, she made it through to the hem of the garment of Jesus, touched it and got healed instantly. Jesus commended her for this show of faith, establishing that her healing had been precipitated by faith. We note from the story that it all began when she spoke to herself. This implies that faith has a voice and it speaks to us from within. As long as you can watch out for the voice of faith and obey what it dictates, your breakthrough will be sure just like the case of the woman. Yield to the voice of your faith!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me discern the voice of faith and yield to what it dictates.

Confession: I yield to the voice of faith.
