Reflections: King Ahaziah of Samaria faced God’s wrath and eventually died due to his actions. Instead of seeking God’s help for his illness, he turned to Baalzebub, the God of Ekron. Additionally, he ordered his soldiers to bring Elijah to his palace to question him for prophesying against his sinful acts and declaring his doom. Ahaziah’s fate was the result of his repeated contempt for God. His tragic end highlights the consequences of disrespecting God. We must always give God His due place as He is incomparable and alone in His attributes.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to avoid contemptuous deeds against you.
