Wednesday, 30th September 2020: Faithfulness is a key part of Christlikeness!

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 3:2 . Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house
Reflections: The writer of Hebrews points us to the need to make Christlikeness our goal if we claim to be holy and partakers of the heavenly calling. He goes further to highlight faithfulness as an integral part of Christlikeness by indicating how Christ himself proved to be ‘faithful to him that appointed him’. The word faithful comes from the Greek adjective ‘pistos’ and it denotes how trustful/reliable people are in relation to transaction of business, execution of commands or discharge of duties. In essence, faithful people don’t give excuses when it comes to doing what they have accepted/agreed to do. Faithfulness ‘implies a long-continued and steadfast fidelity to whatever one is bound to (by a pledge, duty, or obligation)’. Be faithful in life. It is a key evidence of your Christlikeness!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me yield to the demands of faithfulness.
Confession: I am Christlike. I demonstrate  faithfulness in delivering on tasks assigned. I don’t give excuses.
