Scripture Reading: Daniel 6:4
Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom, but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him

Reflections: King Darius elevated Daniel to one of the three administrative presiding rulers of his kingdom. Daniel was so exemplary that the king sought to appoint him the ruler of the entire kingdom. This provoked envy among Daniel’s coworkers, prompting them to plot against him. They planned to hunt for flaws and errors in Daniel’s approach to his work and then use them as evidence against him. Despite their best efforts, their mission was unsuccessful. Daniel From the narrative, we may infer that one of our adversaries’ methods of attack is to induce people to hunt for mistakes and flaws in our lives, then make that knowledge public to discredit us. As long as we, like Daniel, adhere to the standards of our faith, God will foil all such evil schemes.

Prayer: Dear Lord, let the scheme of fault-finders in my life be overthrown.

Confession: God shall disappoint those who are on a fault-finding mission in my life.
