Scripture Reading: 2 Sam 22: 34
He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
Reflection: The hind is a female deer. It is noted for its excellent and wonderful ‘foot works’. Even in mountainous and very steep areas, as the hind sprints, it does not miss a single step. By its agility and swiftness of feet, the hind is able to execute any mission at hand without fail. By alluding to the hind’s feet, David confirms how the power of God makes him swift as a warrior to expedite action during war. David never suffered at war. He could easily slip out of danger zone. With ease and swiftness he could also cause such havoc to the camp of his enemies. We have enemies all around but God makes the feet of his children like the hinds feet! With this feet you cannot be killed by your enemies. You are slippery and too swift for them. You escape every danger while causing havoc to their camp. Thank God for the hind’s feet. You are too swift for your enemies!
Prayer: Oh God make my feet like the hinds feet!
Confession: Divinely I have the hinds feet. I cannot be killed by my enemies. I am too swift for them. With my swiftness I escape every danger while causing havoc to their camp!
