Wednesday, 29th May 2024: Walk with forbearance!

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 4:1-2
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Reflections: Paul encourages the Ephesians to live in a way that aligns with the reality of the gospel. One of the worthy qualities he discusses is forbearance. He emphasizes the significance of this moral quality, urging us to incorporate it into our lives with all humility. Forbearance is the ability to tolerate those who provoke you. This ability enables you to exhibit a composed and rational demeanor in the place of expressing anger or frustration. Thus, it is crucial to avoid retaliatory tendencies and address your offenders peacefully, as this affirmative response is indicative of forbearance. Learn to walk with forbearance-keep your cool whenever you are provoked!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to keep my cool whenever I am provoked.

Confession: I keep my cool whenever I am provoked.
