Wednesday, 29th December 2021: Kindness matters!

Scripture Reading: Exodus 2:20-21
And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread. And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

Reflections: Having run away from Egypt, Moses had become a wanderer. He had arrived in Midian where he had earlier on helped some young ladies to water their flock at the well. He was surprised to see them return. This time, they had come for him. Their father had been amazed at his gesture of kindness and had requested to see him. When he got home with the ladies, he was surprised at what door his gesture of kindness had opened up for him. Apart from being given a place to sleep after he’d been treated to a good meal, he was given a place to reside, employed to work on the man’s farm and also given one of his daughters to marry. One single act of kindness had opened such a package of blessings into his life. Like Moses, God will not forget any act of kindness you render towards people. He will reward you with a package of blessings (Gal 6:9-10). Don’t stop being kind to others in life!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to be kind to others.

Confession: I am kind towards others. I remain blessed.
