Scripture Reading: Acts 3:4-6 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have to give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk
Reflections: The crippled man was carried daily to the temple’s entrance and left there to plead for alms. Although pitiful, it became a common occurrence in his life for him to receive money from passersby. One day, Peter and John were passing by. He beckoned them in with the expectation of receiving money as usual. As soon as the men stopped in response to his request and asked him to look at them immediately, he knew they would undoubtedly give him money. Their gesture, however, turned out to be different. They had more than just money to give him. Shockingly as he did so, he regained the use of his legs. It was a joy for him to jump up and walk for the first time. Like this lamed beggar, who thought his predicament in life was static but had it turned around unexpectedly, God will come through for you at a time you least expect. He will turn your life around for the better!
Prayer: Oh God, turn around my life for the better!
Confession: God will come through for me.
