Scripture Reading: Joh 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Reflection: Jesus said any one who believes in Him, shall do greater works than He did. It will be such a joy to do more than Jesus did when He was on earth but this prophetic promise has several implications underpinning it’s manifestation in one’s life. One of the implications is that you must be ready to take on responsibilities in life. No matter how much one is anointed to do something special, nothing can be done until the person decides to do something with the anointing. This is the domain of taking on responsibilities. Taking on responsibility is the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something. There are duties around you to deal with in life. Don’t give yourself excuses and leave those things undone. Just take them on one by one. In doing so, God will make you excel and go beyond what you can do. You will then realize you are doing greater works! There can never be greater works without taking on of responsibilities.
Prayer: Oh Lord help me become dutiful and to embrace the taking on of responsibilities in life.
Confession: I do not shirk my responsibilities in life. I take them on. I do greater works.
