Scripture Reading:Genesis 30:27
And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.
Reflections: Jacob had been working with Laban for awhile now. He felt he needed to move on so he tended in his resignation. To his surprise, Laban refused to honor it and rather negotiated for his continued stay by increasing his salary and improving his terms of condition of service. Apparently, Laban had realized that his entry had turned things around for the better for his business. His profit margins had increased spontaneously while his business portfolio had also expanded beyond limits. He had discovered that this was all due to the presence of God around him. Like Jacob, the presence of God with you can make your workplace and people around you prosper, making you ‘indispensable’ in the process. This ‘indispensability’ will lead to the opening of new doors in your life.
Prayer: Oh Lord, let your presence that makes me significant and indispensable in life in order for you to be glorified come upon me.
Confession: I carry God’s presence wherever I go. I cannot be ignored in life.
