Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Reflections: Moses was delivering his farewell message to his people as his ministry was coming to an end. In his speech, he directed the people’s attention towards another name of God, ‘El-HaNe’eman’. This name translates to ‘The Faithful God’ in Hebrew. The word ‘faithful’ indicates something permanent and unchanging. It denotes the unchangeable nature of God (James 1:17), which means that he cannot lie or alter his word (Numbers 23:18). As long as you can remember the unchanging dependable character of God, you are sure to keep up with any fight until you see the manifestation of your prophetic word. Your greatest motivation to hold on in life is your knowledge and conviction that God is faithful!
