Wednesday, 27th July 2016: You will head towards danger if you do not withdraw yourself from people who walk disorderly!

Scripture Reading: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-7
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Reflection: When every member of the church is ruled by the word of God, behaviors and attitudes are positively affected. We are changed into the image of Christ and God is glorified ( 2 Cor 3:18). However, it is important to note that it is not everybody in the church that will make it a point to live in harmony with God’s word. You will discover that there are those who consciously love to walk disorderly and would not allow themselves to be ruled by the word of God no matter what. Once you identify such people, you must withdraw yourself from them. This is a biblical command to be adhered to. The Apostle Paul did not fail to inform the church at Thessalonica about this important divine command. You see, the more you entertain and fraternize with such a person, the more you head towards danger. You will gradually become unruly and disorderly just like them and you will end up serving the desires of the devil. Do not joke with your spiritual life. You have an order to obey- withdraw from and avoid persons who obstinately walk disorderly. Do it now before it becomes too late. Remember you are working out your own salvation with fear and trembling ( Phil 2:12).

Prayer Point: Dear Lord, help me identify and break away from those who obstinately walk unruly in the church.

Confession: I am wise. I obey God’s word. I will not walk with people whose lifestyles consistently are not ruled by the word of God in the church. I will withdraw from them in line with the command of scriptures.
