Scripture Reading: Num 24:1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
Reflections: Balak, the Moabite king, hired Balaam to curse the Israelites. However, when Balaam tried to pronounce the curse three times, he was surprised to see that he ended up blessing Israel each time. He realized that a divine blessing was protecting the Israelites from his curses. This blessing was so strong that it turned his curses into blessings. Balaam felt helpless and abandoned his objective. Like the Israelites, you can be anointed with divine blessings that will frustrate your enemies and their schemes against you. You can be blessed beyond the reach of curses!
Prayer: Dear Lord, let your unction of blessing prevail over my life.
Confession: I am blessed beyond the reach of curses.
