Scripture Reading: Luke 12: 2-3
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon Scripture the housetops.
Reflection: A large crowd gathered to hear Jesus speak. They included the Pharisees. Jesus saw through the lives of these Pharisees and uncovered a secret about them. They were mere hypocrites. He then calls his disciples to his side and warns them about this hidden character of the Pharisees. Jesus concludes his discussions with his disciples by informing them that ‘there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed’. This implies that what is made in secret can be uncovered. In order not to be deceived in life, it is important to uncover whatever has been hidden from you. Nothing can be hidden from God so as you seek God’s face in prayer to reveal to you any mystery surrounding your life, you will certainly have an answer. Go ahead and pray. Whatever is hidden from you shall be revealed!
Prayer: Oh Lord, reveal to me anything that is hidden from me.
Confession: I will not be deceived in life. Whatever has been hidden from me shall be uncovered before my eyes in Jesus’ name.
