Scripture Reading: Psalm 119:113
SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
Reflection: Many people claim they love the word of God and yet remain skeptical about some portions of it. To be skeptical means ‘you are not easily convinced or having doubts or opinions’. How can you claim to love God’s word and at the same time doubt portions of it?. This is what the Psalmist said he will never do. According to him, he will rather hate ‘vain thoughts’ as he loves the word. The hebrew word translated ‘Vain thoughts’ is ‘sê‛êph’ which simply means ‘ divided in mind or a skeptic thought’. Don’t be divided in mind when it comes to the word of God! Get to hate any thought that will tell you that any portion of the word of God cannot be true or relied upon. This will free you to yield to the WORD that will in turn bring you a breakthrough. Learn from Naaman ( 2 Kings 5:1-14)!
Confession: I believe everything the word of God says. I will not doubt any portion of the word of God!
