Scripture Reading: Gen 6:6-8
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the world; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD
Reflections: The pervasive nature of human evil made God unhappy. As a result, He decided to exterminate the entire human race. As He looked down the earth to carry out his intentions, one man named Noah caught His attention and found GRACE before him. As a result, Noah’s life, that of his family and selected pairs of animals and birds, were miraculously preserved as the earth got destroyed by water. Translated from the Hebrew word ‘khane’, grace means favour. From the story, we can see that divine favour can preserve your life and cause you to enjoy an enviable place in life. Noah attracted divine favour because the Lord found him righteous(Genesis 7:1). Like Noah, your righteousness will pay off. You will be honored by God!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that righteousness pays off. Help me uphold it in life.
Confession: I uphold the standards of righteousness in my life. I attract divine favour.
