Scripture Reading: Genesis 3:4-6
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat
Reflections: Somehow he hatched a winning strategy to get Adam. The way to do this will be through Eve, his wife. Satan therefore got to Eve and wittingly convinced her that it was alright to eat the forbidden fruit. Eve fell to his deceptive act and straight away ate the fruit. He looked on happily as Eve later talked Adam into eating the fruit too. Alas he had succeeded in hitting Adam, his main target through Eve. The devil is still in the business of using others as a means to get to his main targets. Like Adam, he will get you to violate God’s command through people who are close to you. The way out which Adam failed to do, is to ensure you subject what people tell you or ask you to do, strictly to what God has said or what His word says, before you act. This is what will save you from a lot of troubles.
Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me the grace to subject what people tell me to your word before I act.
Confession: I subject what people tell me to God’s word before I act. I will not fall to the plan of the devil to use others to get me.
