Scripture Reading: 1 Kings 9:4-5
And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel

Reflection: This was the second time the Lord was appearing to him. In the first divine visitation, he was given surpassing wisdom. This time around, he is being admonished, among others, to walk in INTEGRITY. God made it clear to him that his throne will be established forever if he is able to maintain a heart of integrity. This makes Integrity an important subject to be examined and adhered to by all. Integrity ‘is the uncompromising commitment to honor moral and ethical values and principles in life’. It moves you to demonstrate honesty and fairness in your dealings with people. It is what compels you to do the right thing for the right reason all the time. As long as you want to succeed in life and leave behind blueprints to affect your posterity, you must pursue integrity. This is the will of God. Like Solomon, God also expects you to make a personal commitment to integrity. Get to be known in life as someone who will always do the right thing for the right reason all the time!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to maintain the highest level of moral character and honesty in life.
