Scripture Reading: Isa 59:20
And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Reflections: Israel was oppressed and needed redemption. A promise of a coming Redeemer brought hope, but with a condition: redemption’s power would only benefit those who choose to turn away from sin. This transformation requires a life of genuine repentance, marked by a deep change of heart that leads to lasting changes in behaviour. Simply acknowledging sin without making amends or changing one’s ways is meaningless. To experience God’s saving grace and miraculous intervention, true repentance must be consistently practised. Embrace a life of authentic repentance and continue walking in it, for it is the path to redemption and God’s favour.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me embrace true repentance.
Confession: I embrace true repentance.
