Scripture Reading: Matthew 1:20
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost

Reflections: Joseph discovered that Mary was pregnant while they were planning their marriage. This situation was going to be a public embarrassment. Besides, he had not had any sexual interaction with her. He decided to end the relationship secretly, but before he could do so, an angel visited him and explained that Mary’s pregnancy was divinely ordered. The angel also revealed that God had arranged their marriage so that Joseph could father Mary’s holy child, who would become the world’s saviour. This story teaches us that things may not go as expected sometimes, but they can lead us to a magnificent destiny. So, always trust that everything will work out in your favour.
