Scripture  Reading: Act 1:10  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Reflections: Jesus met his followers on the mount of olives. He disappeared into the skies after giving some instructions. Two white-robed figures suddenly appeared as they watched him ascend into heaven. These two men gave evidence to the disciples to confirm that Jesus would return and take them to heaven just as he had told them in John 14:3. Though not stated, these two men are certainly angels. Their presence together fulfills the Mosaic Law of authenticating a submission with two witnesses (Deuteronomy 19:15). This episode teaches us that two witnesses will corroborate messages from God (prophecies, dreams, visions etc). Therefore, authenticate any personal revelation you receive from God, pastors, prophets, or friends at least twice or by two people at different times. This will keep you out of deception and affirm your convictions.
