Scripture Reading: Isaiah 11:15 -16
And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt
Reflections: A highway is a major road that connects cities or countries. The Prophet Isaiah speaks of a future event where remnants of Israel living in a foreign country will be aided divinely to return home via a highway that God will create. He will destroy the gulf of the Egyptian sea and split the river into seven to create this needed highway for his people. Isaiah cites the splitting of the Red Sea into two to create a highway for Israel to walk through when they came out of Egyptian captivity as an example so Israel will get ready for this future breakthrough. Indeed God is a genius in creating highways. Don’t forget He makes a way where there seems to be no way. Like the people of Israel, God will create the ‘highway’ you need to your breakthroughs!
Prayer: Oh Lord, let the highway to my breakthrough be created in Jesus name.
Confession: Every highway to my breakthrough is created by God.
