Wednesday, 17th May 2017: You may need a change of garment!

Scripture Reading: Zechariah 3:3
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Reflections: The devil stood with all readiness to resist Joshua, the high priest. God had to come to his rescue. He ordered the devil to halt with his advancement and immediately charged the angels to change the garment Joshua was wearing. Apparently it was all about Joshua’s garment. It had become dirty and giving legal grounds for the devil to resist him. The garment symbolizes our righteous way of living. It must be devoid of sin. Once sin enters, it becomes dirty. Once dirty, it is no longer able to withstand the enemy/devil. It is time to check your garment of righteousness. It may be dirty and may therefore be giving a foothold to the devil to strike. You may certainly need a change of garment. Repentance before God and forsaking sinful ways will get it all done. Don’t give the devil a foothold or legal grounds to attack you. You’ve got to Keep living according to the ways of God!

Prayer: Oh Lord, change my soiled garment. Please bring an end to every opposition/resistance against my life.

Confession: My garment of righteousness is kept intact. No power can resist me!
