But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus

Reflections: The story of Lazarus is a powerful testament to the deity of Jesus. Lazarus had been dead and buried for four days, with no hope of resurrection. But when Jesus brought him back to life, people were amazed and flocked to see him. This testimony upset the chief priests, who saw it as a threat and wanted to have Lazarus killed. This story shows how enemies of the Lord are threatened by our testimonies that exalt him and may seek to harm us and our testimony. But if we trust in God, he will protect us from their schemes and keep his glory shining through our lives.

Prayer: Lord, keep me safe from harm due to my testimony that uplifts your name.
