Scripture Reading: Acts 9:
And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Reflection: Saul of Tarsus was noted to harass and persecute Christians. He was even part of the mob that saw to the stoning of Stephen to death. Who would have thought that such a man will convert to Christianity and become one of the lead apostles of Jesus Christ! But this was made possible by the personal encounter he had with Jesus Christ on the way to Damascus. In the encounter, a light from heaven shone around his eyes and Jesus held a conversation with him. This quickly led to his conversion. A dream or a vision where you personally encounter God is one of the avenues which can increase your conviction about your Christian faith. The Prophet Isaiah’s encounter (Isaiah 6:1-9) is a case in point. Though personal encounters with God is not common, God can choose to reveal himself to you. How about asking him for a personal encounter? How about praying for God to give your friends who don’t know him personal encounters!
