Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:15-17 (KJV)
“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.”

Reflections: Jesus warns against spiritual deafness—hearing God’s message but not responding. He compares this generation to children calling for attention, but no one listens. Just as the children’s call goes unanswered, many fail to respond to God’s voice, missing opportunities for spiritual growth. Spiritual deafness prevents us from fully experiencing God’s wisdom and blessings. When we resist God’s guidance, we grow distant from Him. To grow spiritually, we must listen attentively and respond to His voice.

Prayer: Lord, open my ears to hear and my heart to respond to Your call.

Confession: I am attentive to God’s voice, and I respond promptly to His guidance for spiritual growth.
