Scripture Reading: 2Kings 10:30
And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel
Reflections: The prophet anointed him as king in a private chamber and told him exactly what he needed to accomplish. Jehu, therefore, got to work based on the demands of the prophetic word. He killed the Ahab family, Jezebel, and all Baal worshippers and priests. He never wavered from his goals. Neither did he waste time in getting his job done. God recognised this positive attitude to work and blessed him accordingly. As part of the blessing, his children up to the fourth generation would occupy the throne of Israel in succession. Like Juhu, your hard work and discipline shall be rewarded!
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me to work hard as I execute given tasks.
Confession: I execute given tasks timely and efficient.
