Scripture Reading: Gen 20:3
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.
Reflections: As he journeyed, Abraham arrived in Gerar. Out of fear, he introduced Sarah his wife as his sister to Abimilech, king of Gerar. This landed him in trouble as the king took Sarah away into his palace. God had to come to his rescue. He appeared to Abimilech in his dream and warned him about Sarah. God simply told him the truth about Sarah, being Abraham’s wife and the fact that He was going to kill him should he refuse to let Sarah go. The voice of God was enough. Sarah was freed. In life, you can find yourself in trouble with people and may not even know how to deal with the situation. Like Abraham, all you need is for God to cause His voice to be heard by those involved in your case. They will let go of you!
Prayer: Oh Lord let your voice compel my enemies to leave me alone.
Confession: I am untouchable. The voice of God is available to compel my enemies to leave me alone.
