Scripture Reading: Nehemiah 9:10
And showed signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and all the people of his land: thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day
Reflections: Nehemiah, in his sermon delivery, narrated the story of how Israel was delivered from Egyptian bondage by God through Moses. He submitted that the signs and wonders performed by Moses, which brutalised the Egyptians and cowed them into so much fear that they allowed Israel to leave Egypt, got God a name. One of these wonders is the death of all the firstborns of every Egyptian household. In other words, these acts of irresistible and unparalleled superior power made the Egyptians acknowledge and confirm that the God of Israel is the God of all gods. The fundamental truth in this submission is that our deliverance in life from the grip of our enemies by God constitutes a platform that brings exaltation to the name of God. A potent prayer point for you to encounter your breakthrough is, therefore, to tell God He has an opportunity to make a name for Himself through your case!
Prayer: Dear Lord, make a name for yourself as you deliver me from my struggles and difficulties!
Confession: My deliverance is a platform for God to make a name for Himself.
