Keep away from ‘vain visions’ and ‘lying divinations’! Scripture Reading: Eziekiel 13: 7&23 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken? Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. away from ‘vain visions’ and ‘lying divinations’
Reflection: God loves his children and always expect those who become rebellious to repent quickly and turn to him. This expectation of God sometimes encounters delays. The more the delay, the more his children loose out on HIS glory. What at all can be the cause of this delay?. It is amazing to note in the era of the Prophet Eziekiel, that this delay was due to the prophetic ministry of people whom God described as ‘foxes in the deserts’ who see ‘vain visions’ and speak ‘lying divinations’. ‘Vain visions’ and ‘lying divinations’ among others implies that God’s children are told what they want to hear and not what God wants them to know. This has the tendency to keep them still walking in sin without the conviction to repent. Seek to be kept away from such ‘vain visions’ and ‘lying divinations’ and your walk with God will remain fruitful. His glory will always be with you. Hallelujah!
Prayer: Lord Keep me away from ‘vain visions’ and ‘lying divinations’
