Scripture Reading: 1 Chronicles 28:2
Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

Reflections: Over time, King David acquired the necessary building supplies for the temple. He explained his motivation for achieving these as he presented them to his people. He said he initially recognized the need for the temple’s construction. After that, he regularly considered how the temple’s building materials should be acquired. These ideas eventually propelled him to take action. His testimony teaches us a valuable lesson: one is motivated by the thoughts and ideas they entertain! So, be mindful of your thoughts. It will undoubtedly motivate you!
