Wednesday, 10th April 2024: Steer clear of those who oppose your Spirit-led actions.

Scripture Reading: Gen 22:5
And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you

Reflections: God tested Abraham’s faith by asking him to sacrifice his only child, Isaac, on Mount Moriah. Abraham embarked on the journey with Isaac and some of his servants, but he did not reveal the true purpose of their mission to anyone. When they reached the foot of the mount, Abraham asked his servants to stay behind so that he could proceed alone with Isaac to the place of worship. Abraham was aware the servants would not allow him to sacrifice Isaac if they knew what he was planning, as it would seem strange and unconventional. Abraham was wise in his approach to the situation.
The moral of this story is that individuals in our lives may oppose our faith-inspired actions due to their limited human reason. Like Abraham,we must surmount this obstacle by maintaining unwavering faith in our convictions while we descern and disengage ourselves from these individuals.

Prayer: Lord, help me avoid those who oppose Your will for me.

Confession: I avoid those who oppose God’s will for my life.
