Scripture Reading: Mat 25:8
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Reflections:A visionary is somebody who plans for the future with imagination and wisdom. He/She anticipates future needs and works towards it. In the famous parable of the 10 virgins, this key life’s principle is revealed. Even though all ten virgins were informed about the return of the bridegroom, only five proved to walk with the wisdom of visionaries. They felt there was the need to carry extra oil for their lamp in case of any eventuality. They thus anticipated the needs of the future and ended up not being taken unawares. The other five failed to live a life of anticipation and were found wanting when the bridegroom delayed. They ended up begging the five wise women for oil. In life when you fail to be a visionary, you will end up begging. It is time to live for tomorrow and not today!!!!!
Prayer: Dear Lord, let the spirit of the visionary arise in me.
Confession: I live for tomorrow and not today.
