Scripture Reading: John 2:11
This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
Reflection: The ministry of Jesus was characterized by the manifestations of miracles, the first being turning water into wine. Essentially miracles refer to the turning around of an adverse condition through supernatural intervention. We can encounter miracles pertaining to several challenges in our lives including that of health, career, marriage etc etc. When he performed his first miracle of turning water into wine, we note that by it Jesus ‘manifested forth his glory; and got his disciples to believe on him’. This defines the purpose of miracles. Primarily, it serves as one of the means through which God is glorified as well as a vehicle to get others believe in God or to boost their faith. Do you need a miracle in your life? You have the scriptural basis to request God for this miracle. In your prayers, tell him you need that miracle to get his name to be glorified and to draw others closer to him. Be sincere about this stated reason and remember to ask in faith. That adverse condition in your life shall surely be turned around! Your miracle is on the way!
Prayer: Dear Lord, let me encounter miracles in my life so that you will be glorified and others will have their faith firmed up in you !
Confession: I encounter miracles in my life. God is always glorified. Those around me get to know and believe in God.
