Scripture Reading: Matt 16:17
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Reflections: Jesus points us to two significant sources of information in life – ‘flesh and blood’ and ‘heavenly father’. While ‘flesh and blood refer to man ( information sourced from people), ‘heavenly father’ refers to God ( information secured from the supernatural). By the encounter Peter had with Jesus, we get to understand that even though one’s life is in the physical and therefore can have access to information from that level, there is information beyond that realm which one needs to access to handle issues better in life. Like Peter, you can have access to supernatural information. Pray to God to reveal what you need to know that has been kept away from you!

Prayer: Dear Lord, Please reveal to me any secret thing I need to know.

Confession: I am enabled by God to uncover what has been kept away from me.
