Tuesday, 7th February 2023: Be open to constructive criticisms and godly counsel!

Scripture Reading: 1Sa 25:17
Now therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.!
Reflections: Nabal was wealthy but had an attitude that eventually led to his death. On the occasion of his refusal to heed to the humble plea of David for food, his servants petitioned his wife, Abigail, to save the situation. In relating the matter to Abigail, they brought up Nabal’s attitude which they said prevented them from reaching out to him directly.Nabal was a moron who never listened to anyone. He thought he knew everything. His attitude made him unapproachable. Like Nabal, If you maintain an ‘ I know it all attitude’ and refuse to comply with godly counsel, you may end up in difficulty. Be open to constructive criticisms and godly counsel. It will prove to be worthwhile!
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me develop and maintain the attitude of heeding to godly counsel.
Confession: I am kept safe by the godly counsel.
