Tuesday, 6th October 2020: Stay informed!

Scripture Reading: 2Peter 3:8 -9. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Reflections: Peter writes to address the church on the  second coming of Christ. He points out that they should not be ignorant about why this promise has not seen fulfillment yet. He goes on to provide the reason-God is simply waiting for more souls to repent! Not being ignorant is a key principle of life that one must possess. The word ignorance means lacking knowledge or awareness about something. The fact that you lack an information does not mean that it is not available. You have a duty to search it out so that you will live a well informed life. For instance, a traffic light regulates movement of cars and pedestrians. You may see one and fail to ask questions about its essence. The authorities may have you arrested once you get caught despite your ignorance. It is important to stay well informed. The Holy Spirit will lead you to search out matters pertinent to your life and destiny!
Prayer:  Oh Lord let my interest and ability to acquire information necessary to improve my livelihood be activated all the time.
Confession: I cannot be kept away from discovering and making use of important information necessary for keeping me away from troubles and improving my livelihood.
